The UAE Government has approved several professions of GCC Countries as eligible for visa on arrival in UAE. The Foreign Affairs Department has issued the official visa profession list in UAE that I am going to share here with you. So, check the list of professions below to know if you can get UAE visa on arrival or you need to apply for visa in advance.
The foreign nationals are required to apply for UAE Visa in advance before they travel to UAE. But the GCC Nationals/Residents are eligible to enter UAE, get visa on arrival and stay there for 30 days. There is a Visa Profession List in UAE that allows all the professionals from GCC to get UAE Visa on Arrival.

The GCC Nationals/Residents of above professions are eligible to get visa on arrival in UAE. For example: If you are a Government Employee in Saudi Arabia then you can take a flight to Dubai and apply for visa on arrival at the Dubai International Airport.
Required Documents for UAE Visa on Arrival
The eligible professional GCC residents can get visa on arrival in UAE but they have to provide the required documents. If you are planning to visit Dubai with visa on arrival, make sure that you meet its eligibility criteria and have all required documents to submit at the visa office, Dubai Airport.
- Original Passport and A Color Copy of Passport with Minimum 6-Month Validity
- Original National ID Card of Home Country (Must be GCC)
- A Colour Passport Size Photograph with White Background
- A Completely Filled Up Visa Application Form

UAE Visa Fee for GCC Residents
The UAE Visa Fee is between AED 520 and AED 1250 for GCC residents. The visa fee varies for single entry and multi-entry visa types. In addition, the fee increases when you want UAE visa for a longer period.
- Single Entry Visa – AED 520 – 30 Days
- Multi Entry Visa – AED 750 – 30 Days
- Multi Entry Visa – AED 1250 – 60 Days
How to Apply for UAE Visa on Arrival for GCC Residents
The Visa on Arrival Application Form is available at Dubai International Airport and Abu Dhabi International Airport. The online application service is not available for UAE visa on arrival, so you have to apply for visa at the airport after your flight lands in UAE.
Here I provide the steps for how to apply for UAE visa on arrival at Dubai International Airport (DXB).
- Go to Visa Office at Dubai International Airport.
- Request the executive for visa on arrival for eligible professions GCC Residents.
- Provide your Passport, ID Card, Photograph and other documents as required for the visa.
- Fill up the UAE Visa Application Form with correct information.
- Submit your application form with documents and pay the fee as applicable.
- The visa office executive will process your application and issue your visa on arrival in UAE ASAP.
In this way, you can apply for UAE visa on arrival at Dubai Airport and get it issued quickly. Thereafter you can stay in Dubai and other Emirates as long as your visa is valid.
