  1. Go to Dubai Police official website @www.dubaipolice.gov.ae.
  2. Select Services and click on Traffic Services.
  3. Find and click on Fines Inquiry and Payment option.
  4. Read the info on service page and click on Access Service.
  5. Select License Details option.
  6. Enter your License Number and select your License Source.
  7. Select Captcha and click on Search button.
  8. Your traffic fines and black points will appear on screen.

The Dubai Police App is available for Android, iPhone and Huawei mobile devices. You can use Dubai Police app to check black points on license on your mobile phone, follow the steps given below.

How Many Black Points are Allowed in Dubai?

There are 23 black points allowed in Dubai. A vehicle owner or driver with up to 23 black points can drive a vehicle in Dubai. In some cases of careless driving or serious accidents, the Dubai Police confiscate the vehicle and add 23 black points to owner’s license.

Consequences of 23/24 Black Points on License in Dubai

When a person gets 23 or 24 black points on his/her driving license, it is considered as a major traffic violation in Dubai. There are some serious consequences of having 23 or 24 black points on license in Dubai that I am sharing here.

  • Confiscation of Vehicle by Dubai Police for 30 to 90 Days.
  • When you reach 24 black points on your license for first time, Dubai Police will suspend your license for 3 months.
  • When you get 24 black points on your license for second time, Dubai Police will suspend your license for 6 months.
  • When you have 24 black points on your license for third time, Dubai Police will suspend your license for 1 year and you have to go through driving tests & training again.

In addition to vehicle confiscation and driving license suspension, Dubai Police also charge traffic fines for the traffic violations you did. So, these are the consequences of having 23/24 black points in Dubai, UAE.

How Long Do Black Points Stay on Your License?

The black points stay on your license for one year from the date of issued/added. When you receive fines and black points on your driving license, they come with a validity of one year. The fines stay on your license until you pay them and the black points remain for a whole year.

After one year, the black points get expired automatically. But you must be careful about number of black points on your license. If you get total 24 black points in a year, your driving license will be suspended for 3/6 months or one year.

How to Reduce Black Points on License in Dubai

You can take a special driving course to reduce black points on your license in Dubai. The Dubai Police offers a special driving course to reduce 8 black points. You can take that course for AED 200 for cutting black points on your driving license.

If you have 20+ black points then you must take the special driving course to reduce 8 black points. It will save you from reaching 24 black points and suspension of your license.
